Wonder Woman: Movie Review (Spoiler Free)

The first appearance for Wonder Woman, played by the beautiful Gal Gadot on the big screen is a success! Finally bringing DC back from a string of (I hate to say it) below average superhero films. Wonder Woman felt fresh, yet still having that feel of a classic hero or in this case heroine that we all love.  It was action packed while delivering an easy to follow origin story for Wonder Woman in her early days in Themyscira, a beautiful hidden island created for the Amazonian’s by Zeus. As Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) learns more about herself, she learns more about how to use her incredible powers, all while helping Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) and his squad take down a high ranking German officer and his evil Chemist from creating and using a terrible Gas weapon on the Allies.

Gal Gadot and director Patty Jenkins faced much opposition and doubt while this film was in production. Many fans said that Gal Gadot was to skinny to play Wonder Woman or that her breasts weren’t big enough to portray her. Also Patty Jenkins was doubted as to if she could even handle making such a big movie as Wonder Woman. They definitely proved everyone wrong, they both said that they didn’t focus on what critics or fans said about them or the project, but rather just focused on making the movie and doing their part on making it as believable and as best as possible. Thanks that they kept on going with the film, because they single handedly saved DC from going down a very dark path.

If you haven’t seen Wonder Woman yet go check it out! Its a DC superhero film that finally rivals the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Hopefully with this film we can see DC rise to the epic franchise it can be!
