Yet another exciting action/drama film by Tom Cruise, honestly, this man has been putting out fun movies since he entered the game and there seems to be no stopping him. This upcoming film is to come out September 29, it’s set in the 1980’s, and is based on a true story of Barry Seal a commercial plane pilot turned CIA operative, who serves as a drug runner for the CIA and also works for the DEA, and Pablo Escobar. The movie is directed by Doug Liman, who is experienced in making action packed fun movies, such as: Edge of Tomorrow, The Bourne Identity, and Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

While I watched the trailer for American Made, I couldn’t help but be reminded by the movie “War Dogs” that came out last year. Except of course they were gun dealers, and Barry Seal ran drugs, money, and other things. But the same elements seemed to be present: Comedy, Action, Drama, and a possible stretch of the whole “based on a true story” fact. None the less, I very much enjoyed War Dogs, and I’m confident Tom Cruise won’t let me down on American Made.

I don’t know what it is about Tom Cruise that makes him so entertaining to watch. It might be the fact that he’s always adamant about doing his own stunts which gives his movies that much more thrill factor, or maybe his sheer talent, or possibly his solid reputation of just being a Badass in every movie he’s in. More likely than not, it’s all three. What I do know for sure, is that we can expect to see many more years of Tom and his movies, always there to give us that dose of adrenaline and “The need for speed!” (bu-dum-tsss)
